OUR HISTORY

As a pastor and Bible teacher, Adrian Rogers was already a veteran of radio and television broadcasting when Love Worth Finding began in 1987. Dr. Rogers said, "People were requesting tapes of the messages, and soon the requests began to grow to the point that we knew God was leading us into a wider ministry." As an extension of his pulpit ministry, Love Worth Finding provided that role and continues today to bring people to Christ and mature them in the faith. This ministry is right in line with Adrian Rogers' commitment and calling to preach the Gospel to the whole world.

The 1-hour television broadcasts began on 17 stations, and the 30-minute daily radio broadcasts debuted on 19 radio stations. Since that limited beginning, the outreach of LWF has grown rapidly. Today, LWF is available on 2500+ radio stations and translators. The television broadcast is available to over 90% of television households in the US, and extends around the world into 194 countries. LWF is heard around the clock on the Internet through our website (lwf.org) and other media partners. For our Hispanic friends, LWF has a Spanish broadcast called "El Amor Que Vale" which is broadcast on TV and radio throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe and also on the Internet.  And in addition to the multi-media programs, LWF offers books, videos, CDs and other resources that will encourage and strengthen your daily walk with Jesus Christ.

LWF is grateful to God to have been selected to receive the Radio Program of the Year and the Television Program of the Year by the National Religious Broadcasters. The extent of this outreach for our Lord cannot be measured, but we are thankful to see some of the impact with the thousands of letters and emails we receive each month from people whose lives have been touched. Many today still echo praises to God for mending broken lives, saving marriages, and helping people find the joy of a personal relationship with His Son Jesus Christ.

Dr. Rogers said, "I believe God wants us to proclaim the message of salvation in the power of the Holy Spirit by every means possible … That's our commitment at Love Worth Finding." Has that purpose changed since the home-going of Dr. Rogers? No, God wants us to continue to proclaim the message of salvation. The messenger may be gone, but the message must continue. Millions still have not heard the precious name of Jesus or know His redeeming grace.

Without God working through the prayers and support of many who share our commitment to spread the Gospel, we simply wouldn't be realizing these blessings. We thank each and every one for the lives being changed for all eternity.
